Sandusky, OH Attorney Michael Brumbaugh, and social worker, Pamela Brumbaugh of the elder care law firm of the Law Office of Michael L. Brumbaugh, Co.,  traveled to Chicago, IL, from April 13-14, 2018, to meet with forty other leading elder law attorneys and key staff from across the nation. The group met at the Wyndham Grand Chicago Riverfront hotel for two days of seminars and networking events. Presentations aligned around a common theme of “Building Bridges,” and how attorneys can more efficiently operate their practices to better service the needs of their clients. Keynote speakers included Lee Milteer, professional coach and mentor, and Ed O’Keefe, congressional reporter at The Washington Post. Lee Milteer shared her insights into million-dollar habits for life and business including, how to utilize the laws of momentum and vacuum, how to leverage the five types of energy currency. Ed O’Keefe discussed the latest developments within “The Beltway” as it pertained to health care, taxes and other pending legislation. Attorneys and staff had plenty of opportunities to network with fellow colleagues about best practices within estate planning and the elder law community. The Brumbaughs are strong proponents of professional conferences and networking events. According to Michael, “The information shared during these presentations is invaluable. Connecting with like-minded individuals from across the country allows us to get better insights into the industry’s current trends and tools. We can take what is discussed here and immediately implement them at our own practices to better service the needs of our clients.” Pamela added, “It’s a win-win, the attorneys are better educated about the challenges facing today’s clients, while our clients are taken care of with enhanced estate and long-term care planning options that leaves no stone unturned.”
