(Sandusky, OH), (October 1, 2017) — VacationLand Federal Credit Union

On August 22, 2017, members of the Sandusky Ohio Edison Employee Federal Credit Union (SOEEFCU) voted to merge their credit union with VacationLand Federal Credit Union.  The merger was official on September 30, 2017, and preparations are underway to finalize account transfers on November 1, 2017.

The SOEEFCU Board of Directors proposed the merger in order to expand the products and services available to their members.  According to Bryan P. Myers, CEO of VLFCU, “we are proud to build up on the 78 year old foundation established by SOEEFCU and look forward to providing these members with access to long-awaited benefits.” Myers views the merger as a testament to VLFU’s strength as a full-service financial institution.
